Christmas, the Italian Way.
For the Longest Lunches of the Year
In the centre of Bath, beneath Sanremo’s grand ceilings, Christmas takes on a distinctly Italian character.
The room is dressed for the season. The kitchen is preparing something special. The first glass poured. Antipasti on the way. Three courses ahead and absolutely nowhere else to be.
Christmas has arrived at Sanremo, and our kitchen has given the season an Italian point of view. Burrata and winter tomatoes, arancini, handmade pasta, slow-braised beef, tiramisu — alongside turkey, chestnuts, cranberries and all the flavours that only seem right at this time of year.
Come for the food. Bring everyone you want to spend Christmas with.

December, Dressed for Dinner
Turkey is staying. So are the cranberries.
We’ve simply invited a few Italian friends along.
Our chefs have taken the ingredients of a familiar Christmas dinner and brought them into the Sanremo kitchen – pairing roast turkey with Marsala jus, folding chestnuts into risotto, serving winter vegetables alongside saltimbocca and finding room for plenty of burrata, Parmesan and fresh pasta along the way.
There are two three-course menus this Christmas, each with its own take on the season.

Upstairs, The Ariston
Behind the gold curtains, overlooking the Guildhall and Bath Abbey, The Ariston has Christmas all to itself.
Our private dining room has its own marble-topped bar, warm terracotta tones and space to make the evening feel entirely separate from the restaurant below.
It works beautifully for the occasions where having everyone together matters: the end-of-year dinner, a family Christmas lunch, drinks with clients or the party where you’d simply rather have the room to yourselves.
Choose the menu. Decide who gets an invitation.
The rest can be arranged.

Sanremo Gift Vouchers
Some presents are better when there’s nothing to unwrap.
A Sanremo gift card is dinner waiting to happen – fresh pasta and a bottle of something Italian, oysters and Champagne, cocktails at the bar, or an evening beneath the chandeliers in the heart of Bath.
Choose the amount and leave the rest to them. No guessing what they’d like. Just the pleasure of deciding when to come, who to bring and what to order when they get here.

Buon Natale, Bath
By December, Bath hardly needs an introduction. The Abbey is illuminated, the streets are full, and just across from the Guildhall, Sanremo is set for Christmas.
Join us at 15 High Street for a late lunch, an early evening glass or dinner that takes its time. Three courses, something good from the cellar and the unmistakable feeling that, for once, there is nowhere else you need to be.
We look forward to welcoming you this Christmas.
